physicify

To make a thing live, attested, and self-hosted instead of represented — to run the real process, continuously measured and cryptographically signed, so anyone can verify that what they are seeing is the thing itself: not a picture of it, a replay, or a claim.

The opposite of a screenshot. The opposite of “trust us.” If it’s live, we prove it’s live. If it’s a model, we say model. The map is never sold as the territory.

Etymology & forms

An old root, made to do new work.

Root: physic — from Greek physikós, “of nature, of the physical world.” + -ify — “to make, to render.” To physicify is to make a thing answer to physics.

Why a word carries a receipt

We physicified the word, too.

A company verb is easy to claim and easy to copy. So we didn’t just claim it. The definition above is hashed, signed by an independent witness, and anchored to a public entropy beacon — an append-only heartbeat no one can rewind. You cannot retro-fabricate a pulse. The origin of this word is now a fact you can check, not a story we tell.
